About the sign-in sheet maker
Every front desk needs one: a sign-in sheet on a clipboard. This free tool makes it for you as a PDF. Pick a sheet type, change the columns if you want, and print.
It makes five kinds of sheet, and any sheet you can describe as a table:
- Sign-in sheet — name, company, time in, time out, signature
- Visitor log — date, name, company, who they visit, times, badge number and signature
- Attendance sheet — name, present, late, absent, signature
- Timesheet — date, start, break, end, hours and notes, with the employee's name on top
- Inventory sheet — item, code, location, quantity and a box to tick
Everything is made in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no sign-up.
Your own columns
The columns are a simple list, one per line. Change them, add some, take some away. Make a column wider by adding | and a number: Signature | 2 is twice as wide as a normal column, and Item | 3 three times as wide.
The line under the title is free text, too. Use underscores to leave space to write, for example "Date: ________".
Rows and pages
- Row height — Compact fits more people on a page. Roomy gives space for a real signature
- Number the rows — so you can say "please sign on line 12"
- Shade every other row — easier to follow a long line across the page
- Pages — print up to 30 pages at once. The row numbers carry on from page to page
- Portrait or landscape — the visitor log opens in landscape, because it has many columns
What people use it for
- Reception and front desks — visitors, contractors, deliveries
- Events and workshops — who came, with an email or phone column if you need one
- Schools and clubs — attendance for a class, a team or a meeting
- Small businesses — a weekly paper timesheet for each employee
- Stock counts — a sheet to carry round the storeroom
