About the reward chart maker

A reward chart (or sticker chart) helps a child practise one new habit — brushing teeth, staying in bed, using the potty, reading every day. Each time they do it, they colour a star or add a sticker. When the chart is full, they get the reward you agreed on together.

This maker prints a bright, simple chart with the child's name, the goal at the top, 5 to 40 stars, hearts or circles, and the reward written at the bottom — next to a little present in the last space.

How to use it

  • Type the child's name (several names give one page each)
  • Write the goal — short and clear, like "Sleep in my own bed"
  • Write the reward
  • Choose the number of stickers, the shape and the colours
  • Press Print or Download PDF

How many stickers?

AgeStickersWhy
2–45–7A reward within a week keeps little ones interested
5–710–15About two weeks — long enough to build the habit
8–1020–25A bigger goal for a bigger reward
10+30–40A month-long challenge

Goals that work well

  • Bedtime: stay in my own bed all night, brush my teeth, in bed by 8 pm
  • Potty training: use the potty, dry night
  • School: read for 15 minutes, do my homework, pack my bag
  • Behaviour: use kind words, share my toys, listen the first time
  • Health habits: eat my vegetables, drink water instead of juice

Tips for a reward chart that works

  • One goal per chart. Several goals at once are confusing.
  • Agree on the reward together before you start, and write it on the chart.
  • Small rewards are fine — a trip to the park, choosing the film, a new book.
  • Never take stickers away. A sticker earned stays earned.
  • Celebrate when it is full, then start a new chart with a new goal.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a reward chart and a chore chart?

A reward chart is for one goal, filled sticker by sticker until the reward. A chore chart lists several jobs for each day of the week. For daily jobs, try the Chore Chart Maker.

Is it free?

Yes. No sign-up and no watermark — make as many as you like.

Can I use it for potty training?

Yes — it is one of the most popular uses. Write "Use the potty", choose 5–10 spaces for a young child, and give the reward when it is full.

Does it work with stickers?

Yes. The spaces are big enough for standard round or star stickers (about 2 cm / ¾ inch). With 30 or 40 spaces they get smaller — use small stickers or just colour them in.

Can I print it in black and white?

Yes. Choose Black and white in the colours. Kids can then colour the chart in themselves.
