About the habit tracker
A habit is easier to keep when you can see it. This free printable habit tracker gives you a one-page chart for the month: your habits down the left side, the days of the month across the top, and a box for every habit on every day.
Type your habits, pick the month, and print. Each evening, tick the boxes for the habits you kept. After a week you can see your streaks — and the gaps.
The list is saved in your browser, so next month your habits are already there.
Why paper works
An app can remind you. A sheet on the wall or the fridge does something different: it is always in sight, and ticking a box with a pen feels like finishing something.
Many people find that a chain of ticked boxes is the best reason not to skip a day. "Don't break the chain" is an old trick, and it works best on paper.
Ideas for habits
- Morning: make the bed, drink a glass of water, no phone for the first hour
- Learning: read 20 pages, practise a language for 10 minutes, practise an instrument
- Home: wash the dishes before bed, tidy one drawer, water the plants
- Money: write down what you spent, no buying online
- Work and study: plan tomorrow, clear the inbox, one hour of focused work
- Kids: brush teeth, pack the school bag, read a book
Keep the list short at first. Three to five habits you really mean beats twenty you forget.
Make it fit your month
- Leave out days — weekends, or any days you do not want to count
- Certain dates — skip holidays, or track only some dates
- Several months in one PDF, one page each, with the right dates on every page
- Sections — start a line with # to group habits, for example "# Morning" and "# Evening"
- Caption — a short line under the chart, such as your goal or a reward
Good to know
- The chart is a real PDF made in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no sign-up
- Your habits are saved on this device only. Another browser or phone starts empty
- Print at Actual size (100%) so the boxes are the size you chose
- Korean, Japanese and Chinese text work — the right font loads by itself
How to use it
- Type your habits, one per line
- Pick the month at the top
- Choose the days to leave out, if any
- Check the preview on the right — it is the PDF itself
- Press Print, or Download PDF
- Tick a box each day you keep a habit
