Making the PDF…
About the gift tag maker
A pile of wrapped presents and no idea which is whose? Gift tags fix that — and printed ones look much nicer than a pen on the wrapping paper.
Choose a shape, a greeting and a colour, and a sheet of gift tags is ready to print. Leave the names empty for blank tags with lines to write on, or type a list of names and get a personal tag for every present — "To: Grandma, From: Anna".
What you see on the right is the PDF itself. Download it, or print it straight away.
How to use it
- Choose a shape: Classic tag, Card or Round
- Pick a greeting — Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Season's Greetings, Happy Birthday, or your own text
- Choose With names and change the example names to your own, one tag per line, like Grandma | Anna — or choose Blank tags for tags with lines to write on by hand
- Choose the colour, the decoration and how many tags per page
- Click Download PDF or Print, then cut along the outline of each tag
The three shapes
- Classic tag — the luggage-label shape with cut corners and a circle where the ribbon goes. Punch the circle with a hole punch, or just pierce it with scissors
- Card — a rectangle with rounded corners; stick it on with tape or glue
- Round — a circle with a small hole at the top; lovely on jars and bottles
Tips for printing
- Card paper (160–250 g/m²) makes tags that do not bend; normal paper works too if you glue it on
- Kraft or brown paper with the "Brown & black" colour gives a rustic, handmade look
- Print at 100% / actual size so the tags come out the right size
- With 12 tags per page the tags are small — good for little gifts and cookie bags
Frequently asked questions
How do I make my own gift tags?
Pick a shape, a greeting and a colour here, then download the PDF and print it. Cut out each tag along its outline. Add names in the list if you want each tag filled in.
Can I print the names on the tags?
Yes. Type one tag per line as "To | From", for example "Grandma | Anna". Every line becomes one tag with both names printed.
Can I make birthday gift tags?
Yes. Choose "Happy Birthday" as the greeting, or type your own text, and pick "Stars" or "None" for the decoration.
What paper should I use?
Thin card (160–250 g/m²) works best. Plain printer paper is fine if you glue the tags onto the present.
Is this free?
Yes. There is no sign-up and no watermark. The small web address at the bottom is off unless you turn it on.
