Coupon ideas
Good coupons are small, personal and easy to say yes to. Mix a few big ones with many small ones.
Love coupons (for a partner)
- Breakfast in bed, a back rub, a movie night where they pick the film
- A home-cooked dinner — and you do the dishes
- A day off from chores, a lie-in, a date night you plan
- “You win one argument” and “One hug, any time” always get a smile
Coupons for kids

- A trip to the park, build a blanket fort, breakfast for dinner
- Skip one chore, choose the movie for family night, pick the music in the car
Mother’s Day and Father’s Day
- For Mom: a night off from cooking, a quiet hour, a foot rub, a clean kitchen
- For Dad: wash the car, mow the lawn, the remote for a night, a game night
- From kids: “I make my bed for a week” or “I help in the garden”
Friends, birthdays and Christmas
- Coffee on me, a long phone call, one favour with no questions asked
- Bake cookies together, hot cocoa by the tree, a walk to see the lights
- A cozy night in, or help with moving day
How to make and bind a coupon book
- Print the PDF at 100% / Actual size on thick paper or card stock (about 160–250 g/m², or 65–110 lb cover)
- Cut along the dashed lines with scissors, a paper cutter or a ruler and a craft knife. The lines are shared, so one cut makes two edges
- Stack the coupons with the cover on top. The cover is the first card on the first sheet
- Bind the left edge: two staples, a hole punch and a ribbon, a binder clip, or washi tape folded over the edge
- Finish it: write a short note on the back of the cover, or put the book in an envelope with the person’s name
For a ticket feel, choose 4 — long tickets and tear them out one by one. For a pocket-sized book, choose 10 — small.
Six styles
| Style | What it looks like |
|---|---|
| Love — hearts and pink | A rounded pink coupon with hearts in the corners and a script title |
| Classic — ticket with a dashed edge | A ticket shape with cut-in corners, a dashed inner line and stars |
| Playful — bright confetti for kids | Bright confetti dots and stars with a bold, round title |
| Elegant — gold frame | A cream coupon with a thin gold double frame and a wedding script |
| Festive — Christmas red and green | Red and green frames with gold stars and snowflakes |
| Minimal — black and white (saves ink) | A dashed black outline and plain text |
Each set picks a style for you — Love for the love set, Playful for kids, Elegant for Mom — but you can choose any style, colour and heading font.
Frequently asked questions
What do you put in a coupon book?
Small things you can do for the person: time together, help with a chore, a treat, or a favour. Breakfast in bed, a back rub, a movie night, a day off from chores, and “one hug, any time” are the most popular. Press one of the ready-made sets to start, then change the lines so they sound like you.
How many coupons should a coupon book have?
Most coupon books have 8 to 12 coupons. That fills one or two sheets at 8 per page, with a cover. A big book for a special birthday can have 20 or more. Blank coupons fill the rest of the last page, so the person can write their own wishes.
How do I make a coupon book cover?
Tick Add a cover and type the Cover title, like “Love Coupons” or “Coupons for Mom”. The cover is one more card the same size as a coupon. It shows the title, the number of coupons and the To / From names, and it goes on top when you stack the book.
Can I add an expiry date?
Yes. Choose Valid until a date and pick the date, or Valid until ____ to write it by hand. Most people choose Never expires for a gift — it is part of the charm. You can also choose No expiry line.
Can I make blank coupons to fill in by hand?
Yes. Keep Fill the last page with blank coupons ticked, or clear the list to get a whole sheet of blank coupons with lines to write on.
What paper should I use?
Thick paper or card stock works best — it feels like a real gift and the coupons do not bend. Print at Actual size so the cut lines stay straight. Plain paper works too if you glue the coupons on coloured card.
Is it free?
Yes. The coupons are made in your browser, and nothing you type is uploaded.
