About the address label maker
Printing a stack of envelopes for invitations, a mailing or a move? This free address label maker prints your addresses onto standard sticky label sheets. Type or paste the addresses, pick your label sheet, and print.
Everything is made in your browser. Your address list is never uploaded — which matters when it is your customers or your family.
Which label sheet?
The common sheet sizes are built in:
- US Letter, 30 per sheet (2⅝ × 1 in) — the classic address label, the same layout as Avery 5160 and 8160
- US Letter, 20, 10 and 6 per sheet — bigger labels for parcels and boxes
- US Letter, 80 per sheet (1¾ × ½ in) — small return-address labels
- A4, 21 per sheet (63.5 × 38.1 mm) — the usual address label outside the US, the Avery L7160 layout
- A4, 18, 14, 8 and 65 per sheet — from parcel labels to tiny return labels
- Custom — type the label size, the number across and down, and the margins from the box of your labels
The sizes are standard, so labels of other brands with the same size and layout work too. Look on the box for the label size and the number per sheet.
From a list or from a spreadsheet
- Typed list — one address per label, with a blank line between labels
- Spreadsheet — copy the rows from Excel or Google Sheets and paste them in. Each row becomes one label, and each cell a line of it
- The same label on every one — for your own return address: one address fills whole sheets
Copies of each label prints every address more than once — handy for a label on the parcel and one on the invoice.
Half-used sheets
Used the first few labels last time? Set Skip labels already used to the number of used labels, and printing starts on the first free one. The tool also tells you how many labels stay free on the last sheet, so you know the number to skip next time.
Getting it to line up
Every printer feeds paper a little differently. To get a perfect fit:
- Tick Draw the label outlines and print one page on plain paper
- Hold it against a label sheet, up to the light
- If the text sits too high or too far left, use Move right and Move down — in millimetres — and test again
- Untick the outlines, put in the label sheet, and print
Always print at Actual size (100%), never "Fit to page" — fitting shrinks the page and moves every label.
Good to know
- The text shrinks to fit each label. Long lines get smaller type before they are ever broken
- The first line can be bold — usually the name
- No web address is printed on label sheets
- Korean, Japanese and Chinese addresses work — the right font loads by itself
How to use it
- Choose your label sheet — check the size on the box
- Type or paste the addresses, with a blank line between labels
- Set Skip labels already used if the sheet is not new
- Make a test print on plain paper with the outlines on
- Put in the label sheet and press Print, or Download PDF
