About the Christmas wish list maker
Make a printable Christmas wish list in a minute. Choose a letter to Santa — "Dear Santa, my name is… and I am… years old" — or a plain "My wish list" page. Type the wishes, or leave the lines empty so your child can write and draw on them by hand.
The letter has lines for "This year I have been good because…", a list of wishes with tick boxes, and a "Thank you, Santa! Love, …" ending with a P.S. about cookies. For grown-ups there are extra "Where to buy / link" and "Price" columns, so a wish list can go to grandparents, aunts and uncles with everything they need.
The PDF is made in your browser and shown on the right exactly as it prints. Print it or download it with one click. Your list is saved in this browser, so you can come back and change it.

Six styles
- Classic — red and green, with holly in the corners and a little Christmas tree.
- Santa's letter — old cream paper, a double border, a handwritten font and a red wax seal.
- Candy cane — a red and white striped frame, with peppermint candies as bullets.
- Snowy night — a deep blue band with snowflakes and soft snow hills at the bottom.

Wish list ideas
| Age | Ideas |
|---|---|
| 3–5 | Stuffed animal, wooden blocks, a play kitchen, picture books, a ride-on toy, bath toys |
| 6–8 | Bike or scooter, LEGO or building sets, art supplies, board games, a dinosaur or space book |
| 9–12 | Science kit, a book series, sports gear, a craft kit, puzzles, a cool backpack |
| Teens | Headphones, gift cards, clothes, concert tickets, a hobby kit, experiences |
| Grown-ups | Books, a cooking class, a cozy blanket, a plant, tools for a hobby, a day out together |
Not every wish has to be a thing to buy. "A day at the zoo", "baking cookies with Grandma" or "a sleepover with my cousin" are lovely wishes too.
How to use it with kids
- Let them write it. Print the letter with empty lines and let your child write and draw. Younger kids can draw their wishes instead of writing them.
- Talk about the "good" lines. Ask what they did this year that they are proud of — helping, sharing, trying something new.
- Keep the list short. Five to eight wishes is plenty. Ask them to star their top wish.
- Add a "give" wish. Some families add one wish for somebody else — a gift for a friend, a donation, or a kind act.
- Make one for each child. Change the name and print again; the form remembers your last list.
Sending the letter to Santa
- By post: In the USA, letters to *Santa Claus, 123 Elf Road, North Pole, 88888* go to the USPS Operation Santa program. Canada Post answers letters to *Santa Claus, North Pole, H0H 0H0, Canada*. In the UK, Royal Mail delivers letters to *Santa/Father Christmas, Santa's Grotto, Reindeerland XM4 5HQ*. Check this year's dates and rules on the post office's website.
- By the tree or the fireplace: Leave the letter where Santa will find it on Christmas Eve, next to the cookies.
- In a special envelope: Print a matching envelope with the Print Envelope tool.
A gift list for families
Grown-ups can use My wish list with the shop columns on. Write each line as Wish | where to buy / link | price, for example Blue wool scarf | Target | $25. Send the PDF to family members, so they can see what you would like and where to find it. If you shop for the whole family, make one list per person and tick each gift when it is bought, so nobody buys the same thing twice. For a gift exchange with friends or at work, use the Secret Santa Generator.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Christmas wish list free?
Yes. It is free, with no sign-up and no watermark. Make as many lists as you like.
Can my child write on it by hand?
Yes. Leave the wishes and the "good" reasons empty, and the page prints with lines to write on. You can also mix: type some wishes and leave a few lines empty.
How do I make a letter to Santa?
Choose Letter to Santa, type your child's name and age, and print. The letter starts with "Dear Santa," and ends with "Thank you, Santa! Love, …" and a P.S. about cookies and milk.
Can I add links and prices?
Yes. Tick Add "Where to buy / link" and "Price" columns and write each wish as Wish | where to buy / link | price. Long links are made smaller so they fit the column.
How many wishes fit on the page?
Up to 12. The lines get bigger when the list is short, so the page always looks full and neat.
Which style saves ink?
Minimal is black and white with thin lines. You can also pick the colour theme Black and white with any style.
Is my list private?
Yes. The PDF is made in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere; the form is only saved in this browser.
