Making the PDF…
About the quiz maker
Teachers, parents, trainers and quiz-night hosts all need the same thing: a clean test on paper, fast. Type your questions here, one per line, and you get a print-ready PDF with numbered questions, answer circles, lines to write on and an answer key at the end.
There are three kinds of questions, and you choose with a simple | sign:
- Multiple choice — the question, then the right answer, then the wrong ones. The order of the answers is mixed on the sheet.
- Short answer — the question and the answer. The sheet shows one line to write on.
- Open question — just the question. The sheet shows a few lines for a longer answer.
You can add a name, date and score line, a space for points, and mix the order of the questions.

Frequently asked questions
How do I make a multiple choice quiz?
Write the question, a |, the right answer, then the wrong answers, each after a |. For example: Which planet is the largest? | Jupiter | Mars | Earth | Venus. The answers are mixed on the sheet.
Can I make two different versions of the same test?
Yes. Download one PDF, then press Mix the answers again (and tick Mix the order of the questions) and download again. Each version has its own answer key.
Is there an answer key?
Yes. Keep Answer key on the last page ticked. It lists every question number with the right letter and answer. Open questions show a dash, because you mark them by hand.
Can I give points to each question?
Tick Space for points next to each question. A small "( pt)" space is printed at the right of each question, for you to write the points.
Can students do the quiz online?
No — this tool makes a quiz to print. Students answer on paper.
Is it free?
Yes. The quiz is made in your browser, and nothing you type is uploaded.
