About the menu maker

Make a printed menu for your table in a few minutes. Press a sample — Thanksgiving, Christmas, Dinner party, Wedding, Birthday or Café — and the boxes fill with a full menu and a style that suits it. Change the dishes to your own, and you get a print-ready PDF.

Type the menu as plain lines. A line that ends with a colon, like Dessert:, starts a new course. Every other line is a dish, with an optional short description and an optional price: Pumpkin pie | with whipped cream | 6.50.

Print it as a full page, as a half page (two menus on one sheet), or as a folded table card that stands on the table and reads from both sides.

Features

  • 6 sample menus — Thanksgiving, Christmas, dinner party, wedding, birthday and café, each with its own style
  • Courses and dishes — each dish can have a short description and a price
  • 3 formats — full page, half page (2 per sheet with a cut line) and a folded table card that reads from both sides
  • 7 styles — Elegant, Rustic, Festive, Autumn harvest, Modern, Chalkboard and Minimal (saves ink)

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a menu for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner?

Press Thanksgiving or Christmas under Start from a sample. The boxes fill with a menu and the matching style (Autumn harvest or Festive). Change the dishes, the title and the note to your own, then press Download PDF.

What is a folded table card?

It is one sheet folded across the middle so it stands on the table like a tent. The menu is printed on both halves, and the top half is upside down, so after folding the menu reads the right way from both sides of the table. Fold along the dotted line.

How do I print two menus on one sheet?

Choose Half page — 2 per sheet. The sheet is turned sideways and holds two copies of the menu. Cut along the dashed line in the middle. On A4 each menu is A5; on US Letter each menu is 5.5 × 8.5 in.

Can I leave out the prices?

Yes. Prices only show when you type them. For a dinner at home or a wedding, just type the dishes.

What if my menu is too long?

The text gets smaller so the whole menu fits. On a table card, a long menu can use two columns. If the menu still does not fit at the smallest size, the last dishes are cut off with “…” and a red message tells you, so you can remove a few dishes or choose Full page.

Can I send the menu as a picture?

For the half page and the table card, press Download image (PNG) under the close-up. For a full page, download the PDF.

Is it free?

Yes. The menu is made in your browser, and nothing you type is uploaded.
