About the packing list maker

Forgetting the charger, packing seven sweaters for a beach week — a good list prevents both. Tell this maker how many days you travel, what kind of trip it is and what weather to expect, and it builds a checklist you can print and tick off.

Clothes come with quantities: underwear and socks for every day plus one, tops for each day in the heat, a pair of trousers for every three days. Beach, city, business, hiking, snow, kids and flying each add their own section. Add anything else under My own items.

How to use it

  • Type how many days you travel
  • Tick the kind of trip — you can choose several
  • Tick the weather
  • Add your own items, one per line
  • Press Print or Download PDF and tick things off as you pack

How much clothing to pack

ItemHow many
Underwear and socksOne per day, plus one spare
T-shirts and tops (hot weather)One per day
Tops (mild or cold)About two for every three days
Trousers, shorts or skirtsOne for every three days
SweatersTwo, or one per three days in the cold
ShoesTwo pairs: one comfortable, one for the plan

For trips longer than about a week, the list stops at 8 of each — plan one laundry day instead.

Packing tips

  • Roll, don't fold — rolled clothes take less space and crease less.
  • Wear your bulkiest shoes and jacket on the journey.
  • Keep essentials in your hand luggage: documents, medicines, chargers, a change of clothes.
  • Liquids for flights: containers of 100 ml or less, in one clear bag.
  • Photograph your passport and save it on your phone.
  • Leave a little room for things you buy on the trip.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. No sign-up and no watermark — make a new one for every trip.

Can I combine trip types?

Yes. Tick as many as you like — for example City and Business, or Beach and With kids. Each adds its own section.

Can I add my own things?

Yes. Type them under My own items, one per line. They get their own section at the end.

What should I pack for a week at the beach?

Tick Beach and Hot and set 7 days: you get swimsuits, beach towel, sunscreen, sandals, 7 tops, 8 pairs of underwear and socks, and the usual documents and toiletries.

Can I save my list?

Your choices are saved in this browser, and you can download the list as a PDF to keep or print.
