About Flip Image

This free tool flips an image — a mirror image from left to right, or upside down from top to bottom. Drop the photo in, press one button, and download it.

The most common reason is a selfie. A front camera often saves the picture mirrored, so writing on a T-shirt or a sign reads backwards. One click on Mirror fixes it.

You can flip many images at once and download them together in a ZIP. Everything happens in your browser — your photos are never uploaded.

Horizontal or vertical?

  • Mirror (left ↔ right) — what you see in a real mirror. The left side goes to the right. Text becomes readable again in a backwards selfie
  • Flip upside down — the top goes to the bottom. This is not the same as turning the photo 180°: a flip also mirrors it, a turn does not

Press both, and the result is the same as a 180° turn.

Features

  • Mirror horizontally and flip vertically
  • Rotate 90°, 180° or any angle as well, in the same place
  • Batch flip — many photos, one click, one ZIP
  • Keeps the full resolution and the same width and height
  • Keeps transparency in PNG and WebP
  • No upload, no account, no watermark

What people use it for

  • Backwards selfies and webcam shots where text is reversed
  • Iron-on transfers and T-shirt prints, which must be printed mirrored
  • Design work — making a left-facing product photo face right, to match a layout
  • Symmetry checks on a face or a drawing
  • Scans and photos from a device that saves them mirrored

Good to know

  • The saved image has no EXIF data (camera, date, GPS). The picture is redrawn, and the notes are left out
  • A flipped photo has the same size as the original. Only a turn by an odd angle makes it bigger
  • JPG is saved at high quality (92%). GIF, BMP and AVIF are saved as PNG when Same as the original is chosen
  • For an iron-on transfer, check your printer settings too — some printers have their own mirror option, and using both flips it back

How to use it

  • Drop your image on the box, or click to choose one or more
  • Press Mirror to flip left to right, or Flip upside down
  • Check the preview
  • Click Download image — or Make a ZIP of all for a batch
