A 1 hour timer, ready to start
This timer is already set to 1 hour. Press Start — or the Space bar — and it counts down, then plays an alarm when the time is up. No setting up, no sign-up, nothing to install.
Leave it in a tab while you work: the time left shows in the browser tab, so you can see it from any other tab. Or press Fullscreen to fill the screen with big numbers and a progress bar — handy in a classroom, a kitchen or a meeting room.
What people use a 1 hour timer for
- An exam or mock test
- An hour of study or practice
- A workout or long walk
- Roasting chicken or slow cooking
- A parking or meeting time limit
- A game time limit for kids
An hour feels long, which is why it helps to see a progress bar — and the time left in the browser tab, even while you use other tabs.

Frequently asked questions
Does the timer keep running in another tab?
Yes. You can switch tabs or minimize the window; the timer keeps counting and the alarm rings on time. Just do not close this tab.
Will the alarm ring if my computer goes to sleep?
No — a sleeping computer runs nothing. That is why the timer asks the browser to keep the screen on while it counts down.
Can I set more than one hour?
Yes. Type any hours, minutes and seconds into the boxes, or use the Timer — up to 99 hours.
Can I change the alarm sound?
Yes. Open Alarm options and pick a beep, a bell, a digital watch or a gentle chime — you hear it when you choose it. You can also let it ring just once, or keep ringing until you press Stop.
Is it free?
Yes. No sign-up and nothing to install, and it works offline once the page is open.
