About Loop Video
This free video looper repeats your video and saves it as one longer file. Play a clip 2 to 50 times, or keep it going until it is as long as you need — 1 minute, 10 minutes, 1 hour, or any length you type.
The copies are joined without re-encoding, so there is no loss of quality and even an hour-long result is ready in seconds. The sound is kept, or you can remove it.
It all runs in your browser. Your video is never uploaded.
Features
- Repeat 2 to 50 times — type the number of plays
- Loop to a length — 30 seconds, 1, 3, 5, 10 or 30 minutes, 1 hour, or your own length up to 3 hours
- See the result first — the final length and file size show before you start
- No quality loss — the video is copied, not re-encoded, whenever the file allows it
- Keep or remove the sound
- Same format out — an MP4 stays MP4, a WebM stays WebM (other files become MP4)
- No upload, no account, no watermark
Loop by times or by length?
- A number of times — the whole clip plays that many times. A 10-second clip played 6 times is exactly 1 minute
- Until a length — the clip repeats until the length you chose, and the last play is cut where the time runs out. Use this for a background video, a screen in a shop window or a "1 hour" video
Fast, and no quality loss
Most video tools decode every frame and encode it again, which is slow and makes the picture a little worse each time. Looping does not need that: the same frames are simply played again. So this tool copies the video data, and a 1-hour loop of a short clip takes seconds.
Some files cannot be copied this way — for example an AVI, or a file with odd timestamps. The tool checks the result, and if it is wrong it converts the clip to MP4 once and loops that copy. That takes about as long as one play of your clip, not as long as the whole result.
Common uses
- Background videos for a website, a shop screen or a presentation
- Short clips for social media — make a 3-second clip play long enough to post
- Music and ambience videos — rain, a fire or a calm scene for 1 hour
- Practice — repeat a dance move, a guitar part or a sports clip many times
- Memes and GIF-style videos that loop again and again
To play a clip backwards, or forward and then back like a boomerang, use Reverse Video. To cut the part you want to loop first, use Trim Video.
Frequently asked questions
How do I loop a video 10 times?
Drop the video on the box, keep A number of times, type 10, and press Loop the video. The result plays the clip 10 times in a row as one file.
How do I make a 1-hour loop?
Choose Until a length and pick 1 hour. The page shows how many plays that is and how big the file will be before you start.
Does looping lower the quality?
No, in most cases. MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV files are copied, not re-encoded, so every play looks exactly like the original. Only a file that cannot be copied is converted once, with good quality settings.
Is there a size limit?
The finished file must fit in your browser's memory, so the tool stops at about 2 GB and warns you above 600 MB. A short phone clip looped for an hour is usually fine. If a result is too big, choose fewer plays or a shorter length.
Is my video uploaded?
No. The video engine runs in your browser, so the video never leaves your device. The engine itself (about 30 MB) is downloaded once the first time you use it.
Will the loop be seamless?
The clip is joined end to start with no gap. If the first and last frames of your clip look very different, you will see a jump where it starts again — that is in the clip itself. A clip that ends where it starts loops smoothly; Reverse Video can make one with its boomerang mode.
