About converting JPG to PDF

A JPG is a picture. A PDF is a document. Most of the time the difference does not matter — until you have to send something.

A school wants one file, not nine photos. A landlord wants the signed page as a PDF. An expense form takes a PDF and nothing else. Someone asks for "the scan", and what you have is four pictures taken with a phone.

This tool turns your JPGs into that one PDF. Drop the photos in, put them in the right order, and download a single document.

One image per page

Every JPG you add becomes one page. Ten photos make a ten-page PDF. One photo makes a one-page PDF. There is no grid, no collage and no shrinking two pictures onto a sheet — a page shows a picture, the way a scan would.

The page is sized to the image, so nothing is cropped and nothing gets a white border it did not have.

The order is the order you added them

The list under the upload box is the document. First file on the list is page 1. If the order is wrong, clear the list and add the files again in the order you want — or select them in that order in the file picker.

This matters more than it sounds. A contract, a passport, a set of receipts and a homework assignment all have a right order, and a PDF that arrives shuffled gets sent back.

Nothing is uploaded

Your photos are read and the PDF is written inside your browser, on your own device. No file is sent to a server, so:

• Nothing sits in a queue on someone else's computer
• There is no file size limit imposed by an upload
• It works on a slow connection, and on a phone
• Passports, payslips, bank letters and medical forms stay where they are

• Phone photos of paperwork — a contract, a form, a letter

Good to know

• JPG and PNG both work — you can mix them in the same PDF
• A very large batch takes a few seconds; the work is all local
• The PDF holds the pictures as pictures, so the text in a photo is not searchable — to get the words out, run the image through Image to Text
• The finished PDF can be made smaller with Compress PDF
• HEIC photos from an iPhone need converting first — use HEIC to JPG

How to use it

• Click Click to upload, or drag your JPG files onto the box
• Add as many as you like — each one becomes a page
• Check the list: the order shown is the order of the pages
• Press Convert to PDF
• Click Download PDF to save it
