This free tool takes a still picture out of a video at full quality. It is not a screenshot of your screen — the frame is read straight from the video, so a 4K video gives you a 4K picture, sharp and clean.
There are two ways to use it. Pick one moment: scrub the player to the frame you want, step one frame back or forward to land exactly right, and press capture. Or take many at once: choose a gap, like one frame every 2 seconds, and the tool walks through the whole video and gives you every frame in a single ZIP.
Everything runs in your browser. The video is never uploaded.

Good to know
The tool uses your browser's own video player to read frames, so it can open the formats your browser can play — MP4 (H.264), WebM and usually MOV. Formats like AVI, MKV or WMV often will not open. If your file is refused, convert it to MP4 first with the MOV to MP4 or WebM to MP4 tool, then come back.
Frame stepping assumes about 30 frames per second, which is right for most videos. For an exact frame on a 60 fps clip, step twice.
How to use it

- Play or scrub to the moment you want, and pause
- Use Previous / Next frame to land on the exact picture
- Choose PNG or JPG and a size, then press Capture this frame
- Or set a gap and press Extract frames to take many at once
- Download a single frame, or Download all as ZIP
