About the Typing Speed Test
This free typing speed test measures how fast and accurately you type. Start typing the sample text — the timer begins on your first keystroke — and watch your words per minute (WPM) and accuracy update live. How WPM is measured
Your words per minute uses the standard where five characters count as one word, so it's comparable to other typing tests. Accuracy is the share of characters you typed correctly. Correct characters turn green as you go, mistakes turn red, and a caret shows where you are.
