How to convert square feet to square meters
One foot is exactly 0.3048 meters, so one square foot is 0.09290304 square meters. To turn sq ft into m², multiply by 0.0929 — or divide by 10.764.

How many square meters is 1 square foot?
1 square foot is 0.0929 square meters. 10.764 square feet make one square meter.
How do I convert sq ft to m² in my head?
Divide by 10 and take off a little: 1,000 sq ft → 100 − 7 = about 93 m² (exact: 92.9).
Can I multiply feet by 0.3048 instead?
Only for length. For area you must use the square: 0.3048 × 0.3048 = 0.0929. Or convert the length and width to meters first, then multiply them.
Can I convert many areas at once?
