How to convert inches to feet
There are exactly 12 inches in a foot. To turn inches into feet, divide by 12.
Formula: feet = inches ÷ 12
Example: 66 in ÷ 12 = 5.5 ft
The tool shows feet as a decimal. To get feet and inches, keep the whole number of feet and multiply the decimal part by 12: 5.5 ft → 5 ft and 0.5 × 12 = 5 ft 6 in.
