This Privacy Policy explains how LottoCheck ("we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use our mobile application on Android and iOS devices. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
1.1 Information stored locally on your device
LottoCheck stores your scanned lottery ticket history only on your device using the device's local storage (AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third party. You can delete this data at any time from within the app (History → Clear All) or by uninstalling the app.
1.2 Camera
The app requests access to your device camera solely to scan the QR code printed on your lottery ticket. Camera images are processed entirely on-device and are not saved, uploaded, or shared.
1.3 Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
With your permission, the app subscribes to anonymous topic-based push notifications (e.g., new_lotto_draw) via Google Firebase Cloud Messaging so you can receive alerts when new lottery results are published. We use topic subscriptions only — your individual FCM registration token is not stored on our servers and is not linked to any personal identifier.
Firebase may process technical data (device type, OS version, token) as described in Google Firebase Privacy & Security.
1.4 Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID / iOS IDFA) to deliver personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"

3. Data Retention and Deletion
We do not store any personal data on our servers. All ticket history is kept locally on your device and can be deleted at any time within the app. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
4. Children's Privacy
LottoCheck is intended for use by adults aged 18 and older, consistent with the legal age requirements to purchase lottery tickets in South Korea. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used this app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
5. Links to Third-Party Services
The app fetches publicly available lottery result data from official lottery websites. We do not send any personal data when retrieving these results. Third-party websites have their own privacy policies which we encourage you to review.
6. Security
Because we do not collect or transmit personal data, there is no risk of a server-side data breach affecting your personal information. Locally stored data is protected by your device's built-in security (screen lock, encryption).
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
